DLH Industrial Campus Vienna East in Enzersdorf: Demolition Site Used for Fire Department Drill

DLH Austria demonstrates at the “Industrial Campus Vienna East” that brownfield development offers not only ecological benefits but also versatile usage possibilities.

DLH hosted a drill for the volunteer fire department on the site in Enzersdorf an der Fischa.

The existing building currently being demolished—an old spinning mill—in the “Alpha” section provided the perfect backdrop for this large-scale exercise involving 65 members from a total of 6 fire departments. Scenarios included a room fire and a hazardous materials incident in the demolition site; during the exercise, 5 people and training manikins were successfully rescued. The photos taken during the exercise show impressive sequences of the drill.

Demolition work is now proceeding rapidly, and completion of this final row of halls—already fully leased—with an area of approximately 36,000 m² is scheduled for Q2 2024. This will mark the full development of Austria’s largest logistics campus!
