Groundbreaking Ceremony for State-of-the-Art & Sustainable Logistics Properties by DLH Austria in Ebergassing

Today marked the groundbreaking ceremony for the LCE Logistics Campus Ebergassing. In the presence of Roman Stachelberger, Mayor of Ebergassing, Christian Vogt, Managing Director of DLH Austria, and Michael Schmid, Managing Director of Goldbeck Rhomberg, the project was officially launched.

On the approximately 140,000 m² site, a total of 13 warehouses with a combined floor area of approximately 82,000 m², including mezzanine, office, and amenity spaces, will be constructed in two phases.

Completion of the first phase is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023, and the second phase for the second quarter of 2024. Marketing is being handled exclusively by CBRE Austria.

Planning and implementation are being carried out by Goldbeck Rhomberg, a specialist in commercial and industrial real estate, with the goal of achieving DGNB Gold certification. This makes it possible to document the increasingly important criteria regarding sustainability and ESG. Furthermore, in keeping with the spirit of the times, this new property will forego gas heating as a fossil fuel and instead rely on an alternative, renewable energy source for heating.

For the region and the municipality of Ebergassing, this project represents economic strengthening through job creation and the establishment of new businesses.

Mayor Roman Stachelberger says: “With the new DLH Logistics Park, we have once again attracted an international company to establish its operations in our municipality. I am pleased that Ebergassing-Wienerherberg is not only historically but also currently an attractive business location that also offers a high quality of life for our residents. I wish DLH a successful start in our town and look forward to future collaboration.”

Christian Vogt, Managing Director of DLH Austria, adds: “We are very pleased to have been able to acquire this property. Given its excellent location and modern, sustainable construction, we are firmly convinced of the success of the overall concept. This is also evidenced by the existing and growing interest in projects that are conveniently located and future-proof. We are already in negotiations with future tenants here.”
