EXPO Real, Munich – DLH Austria Awarded DGNB Platinum Plaque for “IC Gattendorf”
The “Industrial Campus Gattendorf” has been rated by the DGNB as the first fully developed industrial and commercial site in Austria to receive a Platinum certificate in this asset class.
The Platinum plaque was presented during EXPO Real in Munich by Markus Kelzenberg, Managing Director of the DGNB, to Christian Vogt, Managing Director of DLH Austria.
This campus was constructed in two building complexes, each comprising five halls and a storage area of approximately 55,000 m², plus modern office and mezzanine spaces with large areas of natural light. The project sets standards for socially responsible, ecologically sustainable real estate development, including:
Photovoltaics: A 5 MW peak rooftop system to feed into the local grid and supply the surrounding wind farm
Biodiversity: Stone piles and wood stacks to create habitats and nesting and overwintering sites. Native wildflowers to promote insect biodiversity. Partially green roofs and facades
Water: Rainwater infiltration on the property and discharge of roof runoff into the surrounding agricultural ditch systems. Reclaimed water for automatic irrigation of green spaces and use within the building for toilet flushing and cleaning
Biomass heating system: Moving away from fossil fuels by using this environmentally friendly heating method with renewable raw materials for halls and office spaces
Energy monitoring and optimization through centralized facility management to support users
Social areas and communal spaces: In front of and within each rental unit, including covered bicycle parking with EV charging stations
EV Charging: Charging stations for EVs in front of each rental unit on parking spaces paved with grass pavers
Lighting: All fixtures feature energy-saving LED technology, equipped with motion sensors and daylight-dependent, energy-efficient control of warehouse lighting
Prospective tenants can lease available warehouse space through CBRE Vienna, the marketing partner.
