DLH Sells Wittenburg Logistics Campus to EQT Exeter
DLH Deutsche Logistik Holding GmbH & Co. KG has sold the Wittenburg Logistics Campus in eastern Hamburg to EQT Exeter, a global real estate investment manager.
After a construction period of approximately 13 months, the Wittenburg Logistics Campus was completed at the end of March 2024 and handed over in April 2024 to the tenants AXRO GmbH and Mecklenburger Kartoffelveredelung GmbH, who have leased the entire 34,000 m² of logistics and office space. Among other things, great emphasis was placed on sustainability during the project’s implementation. This property can be operated in a carbon-neutral manner by the tenants.
The 75,200 m² site is within sight of the A24 highway (Hamburg–Berlin) and offers optimal transportation links between Hamburg and all southeastern German states.
“In line with EQT Exeter’s ambition to acquire well-located and energy-efficient logistics properties, the Wittenburg logistics campus fits perfectly into our existing portfolio. The ESG criteria, along with the photovoltaic system combined with an electric heat pump, enable CO2-neutral operation. We are delighted and grateful to be working with DLH and CBRE once again,” says EQT Exeter Partner Greg Vinson.
Felix Zilling, Managing Director of DLH, adds: “We are pleased to have secured EQT Exeter, a professional and experienced investor with a long-term investment horizon, for our project in Wittenburg. At the same time, we would like to thank all employees of the City of Wittenburg, especially Mayor Greger, for the consistently positive and goal-oriented collaboration as well as the open and transparent communication, and also Sparkasse Bremen, which secured the financing.”
“We would also like to express our gratitude. The collaboration with DLH has been characterized by a very high level of professionalism, openness, and mutual understanding from the very first contact to the present day. I hope that every project runs this smoothly and look forward to our continued collaboration. At the same time, I am equally pleased that we are able to welcome such a renowned and professional investor as EQT Exeter,” explains Christian Greger, Mayor of the City of Wittenburg.
The transaction was legally advised by LPA – GGV on behalf of DLH and brokered by CBRE Germany and BNP Paribas Real Estate.
In addition, the Ebergassing Logistics Campus (DLH Austria) in Austria was also acquired by EQT Exeter at the end of the year. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase prices.
